Our take

A layered lamellar armour in crimson laced with gold, over dark quilted cloth; the most pattern-heavy armour in the set.

What it's good for

Warriors, generals and characters from your own fantasy world. The strong red and gold palette reads well from a distance.

Design notes

The crimson plates use a scale pattern to suggest rows of small lacquered plates, laced with gold, and they cover body, arms and legs on the overlay (about 760 pixels). Underneath, dark cloth fills the base layer. The hair is tied up in a bun on the hat layer.

Measured palette: the main colour groups in the file, with the share of painted pixels each covers.

Customise it in the editor

  • Recolour the plates to deep blue or black and keep the gold lacing.
  • Add shoulder plates that stick out further by painting extra rows on the sleeve tops.
  • Remove the leg overlay for a lighter, upper-body-only armour.

Open lamellar armour, crimson in the editor to try these: it loads on the classic model, and the slim version is one click away too.

Classic or slim?

Opens on Classic. The broad Classic arms carry the shoulder plates better.
