Chainmail and tabard, front and back on a player model (classic arms).
Front and back, classic model. Rendered from the file by our own generator.
The classic 64×64 skin file for Chainmail and tabard, shown pixel for pixel: every body part unwrapped onto one square.

Our take

A chainmail coif and a deep-blue tabard with gold trim: the lighter, more heraldic kind of knight.

What it's good for

Crusader-style knights, squires, guards and tournament characters. The tabard is a ready canvas for your own emblem.

Design notes

The chainmail coif covers the head on the overlay (about 280 hat pixels) and frames the face, while the mail on the body and legs uses the chain pattern on the base. The tabard is painted on the body front and back with gold edges and a simple gold emblem in the centre, and it continues as a skirt over the upper legs on the overlay, ending in a gold hem. A leather belt cinches the waist.

Customise it in the editor

  • Paint your own emblem over the gold mark on the tabard front.
  • Recolour the tabard with Fill to your house colours.
  • Hide the coif on the overlay to show hair underneath, or paint hair onto the base head.

Open chainmail and tabard in the editor to try these: it loads on the classic model, and the slim version is one click away too.

Classic or slim?

Opens on Classic. The mail sleeves cover the arms, so Slim works, but Classic suits the armour.
