Our take

A dark mage in a violet-black robe with bone-white trim and glowing violet eyes; the villainous counterpart to the starlit wizard.

What it's good for

Necromancers, warlocks, villains and mysterious figures. Long white hair contrasts with the dark robe.

Design notes

The robe is a violet-black with bone-white trim at the cuffs and hem, and its outer layer wraps both legs down to the ankle. The eyes are a bright violet that stands out against the dark palette. Long white hair fills about 270 hat pixels. Only about 30 colours are used, which keeps the look restrained.

Measured palette: the main colour groups in the file, with the share of painted pixels each covers.

Customise it in the editor

  • Change the eye colour to red or green with two pencil pixels for a different kind of magic.
  • Add a hood on the overlay head over the white hair.
  • Paint glowing runes on the robe front in the eye colour.

Open shadow mage in the editor to try these: it loads on the classic model, and the slim version is one click away too.

Classic or slim?

Opens on Classic. The long robe works on either; Slim makes the figure look taller and thinner.
